(N)Ororina's
My name is Anne Marit Jerpstad, and I’m a breeder of Abyssinian cats. I am living in Steinkjer, a town in the middle of Norway. Here I live on a farm together with my boyfriend Odd, our cats and some cows.
In 2004 I decided to fulfil a dream I have had for years; and that was to start breeding cats. In May, I bought 2 lovely Abyssinian cats: Dolly and Emil from Stavanger, and in the end of June, I went down to Oslo where I bought Priestess Pythia. Later that year, I got my breeder name accepted by NRR and FIFé.
Ororina has been my nickname since 1995, so finding a breedername was very easy. It’s a fantasy name influenced by a cartoon heroine named Ororea. Ororea is a beautiful, brave and self-willed princess from Tora Torapa, a small fantasy island in the Pacific Ocean.
It was pretty easy to decide which breed I would go for. In the beginning of the 90’s, I learned an Abyssinian cat to know, and I quickly became fascinated by her look and temper.
My goals are to breed Abyssinian cats according to the standard of FIFé, and of course embodying all the most exquisite of Abyssinian traits.
All of my cats are treated like family members, and have access to the whole house. They also have a huge, fenced cat yard so they can get a touch of the wild nature.
